DRAFT — PENDING ATTORNEY REVIEW

Legal

Privacy Policy

LAST REVISED: 2026 · DRAFT

1. Who we are

Thiyane Logistics (Pty) Ltd ("Thiyane", "we", "us") provides fleet tracking, dispatch, and live-share services to South African businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

[PLACEHOLDER: registered address and company details to be inserted on CIPC confirmation.]

2. What we collect

We process the personal information our business customers load onto the platform to run their fleets: driver names and contact numbers, vehicle registrations, and trip details. When a customer of one of our clients opens a live-share link, we process the location of the assigned vehicle and technical data needed to display the page.

[PLACEHOLDER: full data inventory pending attorney review.]

3. Why we process it

We process personal information to operate the platform: showing vehicles on a map, calculating routes and ETAs, sending live-share links, and keeping the service secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Consent

Consent is built into every customer-facing flow. A live-share link is only created for a trip the recipient has requested, and each link explains what is being shared and for how long.

[PLACEHOLDER: consent wording pending attorney review.]

5. Where your data lives

All platform data is hosted in AWS Cape Town (af-south-1), inside South Africa. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

6. Operators and sharing

We use a small number of service providers (operators, in POPIA terms) to run the platform — for example cloud hosting and map rendering. Each operator is bound by a written agreement to protect personal information.

[PLACEHOLDER: operator list pending attorney review.]

7. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service to the responsible business, and thereafter only as required by law.

[PLACEHOLDER: retention periods pending attorney review.]

8. Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
